New beginnings

Hello!
I started this blog so long ago, I had pretty much forgotten about it. I've decided it's time to resurrect it.  I'm not going to commit to a schedule just yet, I think I'd like to post a few things and see where it goes from there. As far as content, I'm not really sure what direction I want to go in quite yet. I think for the time being I may just use this as an extension of the things I tweet or share on Instagram. You won't find any of this or me on Facebook, that's strictly for family stuff.
To start things off, here's are a few pictures from our recent snow storm.

First Impression: MAC MatchMaster SPF 15 Foundation

I went to the mall last week on a mission to spend some of my birthday money and decided to stop by the MAC counter before heading to Sephora and Ulta, to see if maybe I could speak to an artist about MatchMaster.  It was a Saturday and I had no appointment, which means one on one time with them is very limited. I decided to get a sample size ($15) of the foundation instead.  I didn't want to shell out $32 plus tax for something I hadn't even looked at. Plus, since I have oily skin, I figured a sample size would give me almost two weeks (not using it everyday) to test the product out, not just for coverage and staying power but whether or not it would work with my skin type.  I have been applying it with my ELF powder brush from their studio line and then setting it with my MAC Studio Fix.  I was a bit worried that maybe Studio Fix would be to heavy to use as a setting powder and so I contemplated getting one of their MSF's, but I'm a 'work with what you've got' kind of girl so decided not to.

So far I like it, not sure if I'm going to buy the full size yet, but I'm going to use my teeny tiny $15 sample until it's gone and see how I feel then.

Have you tried MatchMaster yet? Let me know how it worked for you in the comments below.
